Precious Wings offers a community of support and a safe space where bereaved parents can connect with others that have carved a path before them and feel supported and understood. Connecting with other bereaved parents and having the opportunity to speak openly about their child that has died and honour them, brings huge comfort and a sense of not being alone. It fosters togetherness and gives hope when it feels like there is none.
Precious Wings has created a community where everyone can come as they are, and no one is judged no matter where they are on their grief journey or how long it has been.
Monthly Support Groups Combined with Memory Box Making
Precious Wings runs monthly support groups combined with memory box making that allows individuals to do something meaningful for their child and at the same time help to provide comfort and hope to families that will sadly also face this devastating loss. Creating a memory box in memory of your child and ‘doing and creating’ can be a very healing experience; especially seeing their name and knowing their legacy and memory lives on and they are making a difference. The Precious Wings support groups offer an alternative to traditional support groups which do not always appeal to everyone. They are supportive and non-confronting and open to anyone that has lost a baby or child of any gestation or age and from any cause and are facilitated by peer supporters and a qualified counsellor.
Groups are held on the last Tuesday of every month, and we have equal amounts of males and females attend. Please email us at info@preciouswings.org for more information or register here:

Restorative Yoga
Precious Wings has just started running Restorative Yoga classes fortnightly. This style of yoga is slow and gentle ensuring parents feel supported and encouraged to deeply relax and release. Being able to do this in a safe environment that does not shy away from tears or emotion provides comfort and an opportunity to ‘leave your mask’ at the door. We have been told it is also the chance to dip a toe back in the water, with many not feeling comfortable at their usual studio or gym. You do not need any yoga experience or need to be flexible at all! Think of soft, fluffy pillows and blankets, eye masks, candles and relaxing music with someone guiding you to relax and breath and look after you. You will learn some breathing techniques you can use at home for times when you need to feel grounded. You will also have the best night's sleep after!
Drop in and come when you feel up to it or sign up every fortnight. Please email info@preciouswings.org for more information or register here:
